New £800,000 PRYZM Club and 50 Jobs Come to Nottingham

A new £800,000 club is coming to Nottingham this summer, creating 50 jobs and bringing its unique brand of world class entertainment to the city.

PRYZM will open in Lower Parliament Street on Friday 1 July following the investment by Deltic Group, recently named Responsible Retailer of the Year and Best Late Night Operator in the coveted Publican 2016 Awards.

The venue will remain open and continue to trade as the existing Oceana until Sunday 19 June, although work began behind the scenes on Tuesday 3 May. Closing the premises will allow for the creation of six distinct rooms all offering a different style of music and vibe.

At the heart of PRYZM will be the main arena, showcasing the latest light and sound technology and frequently hosting international guest DJs and celebrities.  This will be complemented by Curve – a more intimate room with DJs playing the latest R&B chart tracks.

For those wanting to ‘freak out’ to retro tunes, a disco room called Vinyl will feature a flashing dance floor and the venue will also boast a tiki cocktail bar named Lua Lalai and a speciality bar offering a range of beers from around the world.  Groups and parties will be catered for with 33 booths all offering special packages and table service.

“Nottingham enjoys a fantastic reputation for nightlife,” Peter Tormey, manager of the new PRYZM said.

“It is a young city thanks to its growing and vibrant student population and deserves the very best we can offer in terms of a clubbing experience.

“We are delighted to be opening in Nottingham. PRYZM is an exciting concept and we can’t wait to reveal it to the public on Friday 1 July.”

The club is now recruiting for 50 full and part-time positions, from bar staff to hospitality and sales assistants.  “We are looking for people who enjoy life, have a positive attitude and want to be part of our great new venture.  We have a full training programme for the right candidates,” added Peter.
