New £300,000 Cocktail Bar Set To Shakes Things Up In Cardiff

A new cocktail bar is coming to Cardiff later this month following a £300,000 investment.

Jongleurs Comedy Club on Park Place will re-open as Steinbeck & Shaw on Friday 22nd July, creating a stylish bar, featuring an extensive cocktail menu, with a stripped back, raw and contemporary feel.  Meanwhile, Jongleurs comedy nights will move to the nearby PRYZM club.

The Steinbeck & Shaw investment, by the UK’s largest bars and club operator The Deltic Group, will create 50 full-time and part-time positions.

Commenting on the launch, Steinbeck & Shaw’s venue manager Corey Palmer said: “Steinbeck’s will primarily be a great place to party, with 10 pre-bookable booths, tables and private areas, with outstanding levels of service provided by a talented team of hosts, guaranteed for a fun and memorable night out.”

The Shoreditch inspired cocktail bar will feature walls of graffiti art, skull imagery and modern sculptures and is set to be a stylish addition to Cardiff.

It will focus on high levels of customer service and great packages for nights out with a premium drinks range including fresh cocktails and craft beers as well as a food menu featuring gourmet street food burgers and dogs.

Great music is also a key part of Steinbeck & Shaw’s offer, with an eclectic mix of high energy party music, floor filling vocal dance tunes and commercial chart topping RnB.

In preparation for its VIP opening, the bar is recruiting for a number of roles including bar, floor and VIP staff.

“At Steinbeck & Shaw it’s all about the experience and we want talented people to deliver the experience. As part of our service philosophy, we’re looking for people to join our team that have a real passion for customer service and entertainment,” added Corey.

Fans of comedy will still be able to enjoy live acts at Jongleurs, which is moving to nearby PRYZM nightclub.

Doors will open at 5pm on Friday 22nd July. For more information and to enquire about the roles available please contact:
