Bar takes pride in supporting community

Bar&Beyond is nailing its rainbow colours to the mast with a host of activities to support King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Pride.

The late-night venue on Norfolk Street is hosting the official after-party to carry on the celebrations for the Pride in the Park event on Saturday 17 August.

The bar will be decked out in a rainbow theme for a sparkling night featuring glitter cannons, glitter face painting, live music and more as it welcomes the LGBTQ+ community.

Earlier in the day all the Bar&Beyond staff will take part in the colourful parade through the town in branded T-shirts and carrying a banner of support to make their way to The Walks where there will be entertainment, food vendors and stalls.

The team will also have a stall in the park, giving away free Bar&Beyond merchandise and free entry wristbands to its after-party which runs from 5pm to 3am.

General manager Lucy Peck said: “Pride organisers are expecting thousands of people to come along on the day after the success of the first event last year. We are one of the sponsors and delighted to be involved with a community event that celebrates inclusivity and diversity. Our assistant manager Chris Newman has worked hard to co-ordinate our efforts.

“We are hosting the official after-party which promises to be a great night. We will be welcoming everyone who wants to celebrate in some style.”

Admission is free from 5pm to 11pm, £3 from 11pm to 1am and £5 from 1am to 2pm. For more information and tickets visit
